Do Life Together
Before time, we see relationship in the Godhead. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit had a genuine connection with one another. Then human relationship began with Adam. Even before sin entered the world, Adam needed connection so God gave him Eve. The Bible is all about people and they lived in relationship with one another. Relationships matter to God and the Lord has put in the heart of His people the need for genuine relationships.
As we enter the month of October, we are gearing up for Fall and relaunching our Connection Ministry here at Pleasant City Church. We see Connect Groups as a great way for people to be encouraged and develop and grow in relationship with Jesus. A Connect Group is an intentional gathering of approximately three to twelve individuals who are learning together to become fully devoted to Christ. We are looking to relaunch our Connect Group Ministry on Sunday, October 18th and you can find more information about what Connect Groups are offered on our church website.
Do yourself a favor and give Connect Groups a try! Connect Groups are a great place to develop relationships and friendships that will keep you connected to Pleasant City.
Life is not to be lived alone. God intends for us to do life together.
Notice from the passage below how the early church shows us how connection was a vibrant part of how the church effectively reached and grew as a body of believers. Let’s do the same!
Acts 2:41-47 NIV:
“Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
