What is my Role in the Church?
The New Testament introduces the church and gives us a blueprint of how God wants the body of believers to function. A key ingredient to healthy church life is unity. The more unified Pleasant City Church is, the more impactful for Christ we will be. Consider these useful tips that will protect our church and keep us unified.
Choose to be a good finder rather than a fault finder. Don’t be a spectator, get in the game and serve. When we use our gifts and use them to build the kingdom, we don’t have time to bicker, complain and criticize. Romans 14:19 “Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.”
Choose to not listen to gossip. It is often from within God’s flock that wounds come from other sheep. Paul warns against cannibal Christians who: “If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.” Next time you are tempted to gossip, think TNK, is it TRUE, is it NECESSARY, is it KIND!
Choose to support your Leadership. There are no perfect leaders, but God gives leaders the task to watch over the flock. Pastors need our prayers, encouragement, and love.
Your Pastors at PCC:
Would love to know that you are praying for them as they do their best to lead this precious flock.
I Thessalonians 5:12-13 “Now we ask you, brothers to respect those who work hard among you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.”
Let’s be protectors of this great church that we are priviledged to be a part of! Psalm 133:1 “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity.”
