Ways to Pray for Beach House

featured

In just a few days over 30 high school students from our church will be heading to Folly Beach, South Carolina to partake in Beach House. Then a week later, over 30 middle school students will switch out with the high school students and experience Beach House. Beach House is a camp that our student ministry (warehouse247) puts on every other year.

One of our culture values here at Pleasant City Church is: “Transformation > Tradition”. This means that our heart is to see lives transformed through the Gospel. No camp is ever the same and that’s on purpose because no group of students is ever the same as the year prior but one thing that will remain the same is that we have seen lives changed in the name of Jesus every year and we believe that this year will be no different. Camp serves as a time for students to get outside of their normal day to day lives and have an experience with their creator. It’s similar to how we see how Jesus call the disciples out of their everyday lives to go a transformative journey with Him.

As a church, I implore you to be in prayer each day over camp. Since we have two weeks of camp (middle school week and high school week), that means it would be praying for our students every day for the next two and a half weeks. Below I have put together a prayer calendar that may help you pray specifically for our students.

  • June 4- Pray for God to start stirring the hearts of the students going
  • June 5- Pray for parents/guardians of the students going, for their anxiety and that they would be the primary disciplers of their family.
  • June 6- Pray that transformation will take place in each students lives over camp
  • June 7- (Set up team leaves for Beach House) Pray for each leader going that they will be ready to point each student to going to Jesus
  • June 8- Pray for the enemy to be bound. Every year there are issues that come up that would might keep students from going, these students often times end up having the most life changing experiences with Jesus
  • June 9- (High School students leave for Beach House) Pray for the van drivers. Pray God to work through the excitement and nervousness of each student
  • June 10- Pray that God speaks through His word in each student’s T.A.G. (Time Alone with God)
  • June 11- Pray for the student(s) that is homesick. Pray that God works through their anxiety

  • June 13- Pray that any student that does not have a relationship with Jesus makes that decision to start today.
