School just started but don’t you wish it was already time for Spring Break? Well here at Pleasant City Church we are already thinking about Spring Break which means it is not too long until warehouse247 returns to Guatemala. Over the last few months, Jonathan (Associate Pastor over Global Missions), Callie Lopez (previously Luckadoo), and I have been prayerfully working on putting the details of this trip together. The trip is currently a blended trip with various mission opportunities such as, children's ministry, evangelistic opportunities, and dental and medical clinics. If you are interest in attending this trip make sure you closely read all of this letter.

We will be leaving at noon Friday, April 12th and returning Saturday, April 20th. This is during the Cleveland County Schools spring break so most students will be out of school. We will be taking the first 25 students, parents, and warehouse247 leaders that pay the initial deposit.

To attend this trip, students must be in the 6th –12th grade. Students under 15 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Mission Guatemala is only open to warehouse247 students, warehouse247 leaders, and parents/guardians of attending warehouse247 students. This trip is limited to only 25 people. Due to the limited number of available spots, registration will be ONLY online on a first come first served basis. You will NOT be able to register at warehouse247 or the church office. Registration will open at 7pm on Monday, December 3rd and will stay open until 11pm on Sunday, January 6th or until all 25 spots are filled (whichever comes first). We will start a waiting list if needed. If there are still spots available, adults and students outside of our ministry will have the ability to sign up for the trip starting on Monday, December 31st.

The cost of this trip is $1,750. This is factoring the cost of meals into the total cost. Therefore, this price is all-inclusive. I know that when looking at this number it seems like a lot of money. However, I encourage you to first prayerfully seek God to see if this is a trip that He would have you go on. I have seen people, including myself, go on mission trips in the past with little or no money allotted for an expense like this in the beginning. Yet, God seems to provide. Financially, this is a leap of faith for many, but I encourage you to be willing and open to go and from there see if God will provide. To help with costs, those interested can send out support letters (for a sample letter, email me at charmon@pccshelby.com). You can begin to raise support prior to registering.  Monetary support raised before Wednesday, November 28th can be applied to your initial deposit. If support comes to the church office, we will contact you to make sure we have a good email address. I will send an email on Thursday, November 29th with instructions on how to apply this support to your deposit. It is your responsibility to check for this email. If you receive support and are not one of the first 25 people to register, money you received will be sent back to the donors.

Another positive aspect in gathering your finances for this trip is that the trip is still over six months away with two deposit deadlines to break up the cost of the trip into smaller, more manageable amounts. This will hopefully give you time to acquire the money needed. The deposit deadlines are located on the back of this page. These deposits are non-refundable. Money must be paid online or turned in by donors on the deadline dates in order to secure your spot on the trip.

Also, a missions application must be downloaded during you initial online registration and filled out by each prospective team member. These must be turned in at warehouse247 or the church office by Wednesday, January 23rd.

            After this first deadline, we will begin preparing for the trip which will include attending mandatory training meetings. Training meetings are required and will occur on Sunday afternoons. You will be required to get off of work and not schedule other appointments during these meetings. Missing these meetings could jeopardize your spot on the trip, so please take them seriously. Meeting times are published on the backside of this sheet.
