Jonathan is our primary teacher, oversees the pastoral staff and the vision of our church.
BIO
Jonathan began following Jesus in June 1989 at seven years of age. Shortly after this, his family moved to Shelby where they became members of Pleasant City Church. At the age of 16, he began sensing God’s call on his life for local church ministry and began pursuing an education to move in that direction. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at Liberty University in 2004 and a Master of Divinity Degree in Christian Ministry at Southeastern Theological Seminary in May 2008. One month later, Jonathan and his wife Crystal began their ministry at PCC. In November of 2008, He was ordained to the Gospel Ministry. Jonathan previously served as the Student Pastor of PCC for 9 years, the Associate Pastor (overseeing missions and connect groups) for 8 years and is currently the Lead Pastor at PCC. Jonathan and Crystal have been blessed with four boys: Will, Jackson, Zion, and Abe. He and his family love hiking, kayaking, beach-going, and any other sort of fun adventuring together.
