Our Senior adult ministry goes by: S.W.A.T. (Seniors With A Testimony). S.W.A.T. is an organization of Christian senior adults, 55 an over, that have a desire to continue to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and our church throughout the year in a variety of ways.
Our monthly gatherings, with the exception of June, July and August, are typically the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Days and times may vary according to the season and are posted well in advance.
Our gatherings always consist of a delicious meal, prayer, music and a program with guest speakers. The programs are always mission and service oriented featuring any one of our Pleasant City Church supported mission organizations, foreign missionaries when they’re home on furlough, home missionaries and our mission teams returning from various mission trips abroad.
Our purpose is to stay informed about what God is doing in our many mission endeavors, supporting our missionaries financially, with material needs, physically participating, encouragement and unceasing prayer support.
Our annual Spring Excursions are always most memorable occasions and highlights for us. Bus trips to places like the Myrtle Beach Spring Jubilee, Gatlinburg, The Ark & Creation Museum, and Sight & Sound and Amish country in Lancaster PA.
