The Precedent Of Salvation

July 22, 2018 Pastor: Bryan Glisson Series: Royal Invitation: Part 2- Grace

Scripture: Romans 9:6–16

Introduction: What is the role of predestination in salvation?  It provides the basis for our salvation. It also coincides with God’s foreknowledge, His sovereign will, His providential care, His election and a person’s free will.

  • Salvation is based on God's grace, not our race (Romans 9:6-7)
  • Salvation is based on God's promise, not our preference  (Romans 9:8-9)
  • Salvation is based on God's providence, not our performance  (Romans 9:10-13)
  • Salvation is based on God's mercy, not our merit  (Romans 9:14-16) (Titus 3:5)

Important Definitions: Needed To Understand Salvation
