Whatever We Do Affects Others
- Our actions could cause other believers to stumble (Romans 14:13-14)
- Our actions could cause other believers to be distressed (Romans 14:15a)
- Our actions could cause other believers to be destroyed (Romans 14:15b)
How Are We To Build Each Other Up
- By committing to building each other (Romans 14:19)
- By recognizing the value of every person (Romans 14:15b)
- By focusing on what is really important (Romans 14:16-18)
- By limiting our liberty out of love for each other (Romans 14:20-21) (1 Corinthians 10:23-24)
- By not forcing our opinion on others (Romans 14:22)
- By living by faith (Romans 14:23)
Why Are We To Build Each Other Up
- The Responsibility (Romans 15:1-2)
- The Reason (Romans 15:3-4)
The Example of Jesus
The Teaching of Scripture
- The Results (Romans 15:5-13)
Church is Unified
God is Glorified
Application: Do you see yourself as someone who builds others up or tears others down? Do you build up the body of Christ or tear down the body of Christ?
