Looking Beyond Borders
November 4, 2018 Pastor: Jonathan Glisson Series: Beyond Borders
Scripture: Romans 10:9–15
Introduction: Looking beyond the borders involves looking beyond the borders of our country as well as the borders of our heart. What limits of love do we place on God’s purpose for people in other cultures and contexts?
God’s Provision Beyond the Borders (Romans 10:9-13)
The Gospel is for Anyone- Beyond the Borders of:
Nations Race
Language Socio-Economic status
God’s Vision Beyond the Borders (Romans 10:14-15a)
The Church Sends- “How shall they preach unless they are sent?”
Missions is NOT a department in our church
Missions is a privilege to be included in the primary concern of God- that ALL would know & love Him (Habakkuk 2:14, 1 Timothy 2:4)
The Able Go- “How shall they hear without a preacher/messenger?”
You need a better reason to Stay than to Go (Matthew 28:19, Acts 1:8)
The Nations Hear- “How shall they believe in Him if they have not heard?”
We have a part in bringing about Christ’s Return (Matt 24:14)
The Lost are Found- “How shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed?”
Every Second someone is entering Hell
Our Mission Beyond the Borders (Romans 10:15b)
