Introduction: Paul ends this epistle with a prayer (I Thessalonians 5:23), a promise (I Thessalonians 5:24), and a plea (I Thessalonians 5:25-28).

            Its Satisfaction—food & air

• The Soul

            Its Awareness—self

            Its Satisfaction:

                  --learning for the mind

                  --affection for the emotions

                  --activity for the will

• The Spirit

             Its Awareness—God

             Its Satisfaction—God

You Are Born In Tragedy   (Romans 5:12)  (Romans 3:23)

              The Body:  weakness & disease

              The Soul:

                   --blindness of the mind

                   --deception of the emotions

                   --misguidance of the will

               The Spirit: dead

• The Failure; Its Assumptions:

               We are good in and of ourselves

               We are acceptable in and of ourselves

               We are sufficient in and of ourselves

You Can Become A Trophy   (Ephesians 2:8-10)

• Salvation—a moment that changes spirit, soul, body  (Ephesians 2:1)

• Sanctification—a process that changes spirit, soul, body  (Romans 12:1-2)

• Glorification—a moment that changes spirit, soul, body
