SUMMER IN THE PSALMS
PSALM 30

Introduction: Everything in this world is ever-changing and according to Ecclesiastes 3 this would include the seasons of our lives. Therefore, life itself is transitional and temporary creating the opportunity for much turmoil. But even in the midst of it all, we can still celebrate and offer thanksgiving to our loving and generous Savior.

God Can Bring Us:

From Defeat to Victory  (Psalm 30:1) (Romans 12:17-19)

From Sickness to Health  (Psalm 30:2-3)

From Weeping to Joy  (Psalm 30:4-5)

From Mourning to Dancing
   A Pernicious Pride  (Psalm 30:6)
   A Proper Perspective  (Psalm 30:7)
   A Painful Plea  (Psalm 30:8-10)
   A Perpetual Praise  (Psalm 30:11-12)

Application: Living in an ever-changing fallen world can create much anxiety and fear. Unless you are firmly established in God’s truth and know that He is worthy of your praise. Are you firmly established in His truth? (Matthew 7:24-27)

Conclusion: False Beliefs (about God or yourself) lead to Ungodly Thoughts, then Ungodly Feelings and Emotions, which then leads to Ungodly Actions or Reactions. The False Belief (about God or yourself) must be replaced with God’s Truth, which in turn will lead to Godly outcomes—including those in Psalm 30.
