SUMMER IN THE PSALMS
PSALM 139—AN INCREDIBLE LIFE (PART 3)

The Incredible Life Includes:

Realizing God Created You Particularly (Uniquely)  (Psalm 139:13-14)

Discovering Your God-given Purpose  (Psalm 139:15)

Living Your God-given Potential  (Psalm 139:16)

Right Perspective & Attitude Concerning: (Continued)

  • Challenges

Overcoming Fear (John 14:27)

--discover the source of your fear (2 Timothy 1:7)
--admit your fear
--never be paralyzed by your fear
--accept courage from God in the face of your fear
--accept fear as the price for your growth
--recommit yourself to your purpose & passion
--feed your faith, not your fear (1 Peter 1:7) (1 Corinthians 16:13)

Overcoming Failure (Psalm 37:23-24)
--don’t let failure defeat you
--never be paralyzed by your failure (never give up)
--welcome the opportunity to learn from your failure
--allow your failure to redirect you
--always ask why not who as it relates to your failure
--accept failure as the price for your growth
--recommit yourself to your purpose & passion

Overcoming the Flesh  (Romans 7)

--come to terms with your condition  (Romans 7:14)

Footnote:
Because sin entered the world,
you were born with a condition where
your flesh was self-serving,
your body was prone to unhealthy appetites,
your heart was capable of much pride,
your will was rebellious,
your mind was susceptible to perversion and deception,
your conscience was dulled,
and your innocence was lost.

--admit your struggle (Romans 7:15)

--confront and battle your flesh (Romans 7:21-23)
--cry out to God for help (Romans 7:24)
--recognize where your victory comes from (Romans 7:25)

  • Firefighters: those in your life who seek to put out your fire (passion & potential)
  • Firelighters: those who want to help you and are willing to stroke the flames of your fire (passion & potential)

Types of Firelighters:

--fellow journeyers  (those traveling with you) (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
--educators  (those instructing you)
--mentors  (those who are ahead of you) 

Standing Before God Pleasingly (2 Timothy 4:6b-8a) (Matthew 25:21)

PASSION 2022

January 2-4, 2022

A gathering of 18-25 year olds,  PASSION exists to see a generation leverage their lives for what matters most. For graduating high-school seniors, college students, and adults under 25. Cost includes ticket,
transportation, and hotel.

Total Cost: $250
$120 Deposit Due—October 6
Full Balance Due—November 21
