Introduction: Nothing can steal the truth of Christmas. Yet it’s easy for us to not live in the reality of Christmas. The reality of Christmas is that Jesus has come to set us free from the Penalty of our Sin and the Power of our Hang-Ups.
A Great Insecurity Revealed (Matthew 2:1-3)
- Insecurity’s best mask is Perfectionism
- Kingdoms of Insecurity:
- Kingdom Position: “I must be noticed”
- Kingdom of Possessions: “I must have…”
- Kingdom of Power: “I must be in control”
A Paranoid Feeling Researched (Matthew 2:4-6)
- Insecurity always demands to be “in the know”
A Deceptive Plot Raised (Matthew 2:7-8)
- Insecurity can make a fool out of you, by making a liar out of you
A Divine Plan Recorded (Matthew 2:12-15)
