THE SUPREMACY OF CHRIST
“Jesus Delivers” (Part 2)
Colossians 1:22b-29

Introduction: When you come to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord you have in Him everything necessary to be restored to Him and have eternal life in Heaven. You even have what it takes to live victoriously in this fallen world.

The Purpose Jesus Displayed (Colossians 1:22b)
  To Introduce “holy”--set apart from sin to God
  To Introduce “blameless”--without spot
  To Introduce “above reproach”--no accusation

The Prints Jesus Laid (Colossians 1:23)
  Faith that is “grounded”--has a love for God
  Faith that is “steadfast”--has a hatred for sin
  Faith that is “not moved away from the hope”--has a desire for obedience (Ephesians 4:14-15)

The Presence of Jesus In Your Life (Colossians 1:24-26)
  At Salvation (John 14:20, 23)
  Through Salvation (Ephesians 3:17-20)

The Prospect of Jesus In Your Life (Colossians 1:27) (Romans 8:11)

The Power of Jesus In Your Life (Colossians 1:28-29)
  Exchanging Power (from you to Jesus) (Philippians 4:13)
  Maturing Power (Isaiah 40:29-31)
    --waiting—speaks of patience
    --flying—speaks of perspective
    --running—speaks of endurance
    --walking—speaks of trust

Application: Is the phrase “Christ in you, the hope of glory” a reality in your life? Do you sense His Presence and Power in your life?  (Galatians 2:20)

A church-wide (kids, students, & adults) week of loving & serving our community. We are staying right in Shelby and working in our own backyard. This gives us an opportunity to love  the people that God has put in our neighborhood.
