“The Supporting Cast of the Church”
Colossians 4:7-15

Introduction: It takes people from all walks of life with varying gifts at different points on their Christian journey to accomplish the work God has entrusted the Church. God uses ordinary people to accomplish extra-ordinary tasks. 

With Whom Do You Best Identify?

The Messengers

Tychicus (Colossians 4:7-8)
--beloved brother                 
--faithful minister (1 Corinthians 4:2)
--fellow servant—personal postman 

Onesimus (Colossians 4:9)
--faithful brother
--beloved brother
--fellow companion—runaway slave to reliable servant

The Encouragers

Aristarchus (Colossians 4:10a)
--fellow prisoner      
--faithful companion—in difficulty 

John Mark (Colossians 4:10b)
--faithful servant (Acts 12:25)
--unfaithful servant—caused division (Acts 13:13)
--restored servant (2 Timothy 4:11)

Jesus Justus (Colossians 4:11)

Epaphras (Colossians 4:12-13)
