Introduction: One aspect of blessing we find in God’s Word is financial. Everyone wants to be blessed financially by God, but many do not know what it truly is or how to experience it. And some know, but do not desire to do what it takes to receive it. God’s financial blessings are tied to generosity.

What Are The Blessings of Giving?

They Bring Joy  (Acts 20:35)
They Strengthen and Authenticate Faith (Proverbs 3:5, 9) (James 2:14-17)
They Are an Antidote To Materialism (Matthew 6:21)
They Can Be Eternal Investments (1 Timothy 6:17-19)

Why Should You Give?

It Is Commanded by God (Malachi 3:10a)
It Gives God the Opportunity To Bless You (Malachi 3:10)

How Should You Give to Be Blessed? (2 Corinthians) 

Generously (2 Corinthians 8:1-4)

Application: Blessings from God originate when you first give yourself to Him, then give to others. Do you desire to be blessed by God? What is keeping you from being a generous person? What is your plan for becoming a generous person?
