FINANCIAL PERSPECTIVE
Mark 12:38-13:2 

Introduction: What if your Money could talk, what would it say? Money would say, “I am NOT a Toy, I am a Tool.” What is your perspective on money?

• Money as a Toy, results in Greed
  • Greed: the Assumption that it’s all for My Consumption
• Money as a Tool, results in Generosity
  • Generosity: the Trade of Stuff for Stories

How do You Give?

Superficial Showy Giving (Mark 12:38-40, Matthew 6:2-4)

• When you give, do you want something for people or from people?
• RESPONSE: Completely Reject your Ego

Spontaneous Sensitive Giving (Luke 10:29-37)

• See the need, Connect to the need, Give to the need
• RESPONSE: Continually Evaluate your Motives

Planned Percentage Giving (Mark 12:41-42)

• In the Economy of God, % > $
• RESPONSE: Consistently Increase your Generosity

Supernatural Sacrificial Giving (Mark 12:43-44)

• The question you should ask is not simply, “How much of My money should I give to God?”
  • The better question you should ALWAYS ask is, “How much of God’s money should I keep for Myself?”
• RESPONSE: Courageously Open your Hands

Application: Do you want more Stuff or do you want more Stories? The Tool of Money in the hands of a Generous person can create a Legendary Life of Building the Kingdom of God.
