“Privileges Available”
1 Peter 2:4-10 

“And he (Andrew) brought him (Peter) to Jesus.
Now when Jesus looked at him (Peter), He said,
‘You are Simon the son of Jonah. 
You shall be called Cephas’
(which is translated, a stone).”
(John 1:42)

Introduction: When we place our faith in Jesus Christ there are certain privileges that come with our new reality. 

These Privileges Include Being:

Chosen (1 Peter 2:4a)

Valued (1 Peter 2:4b) (John 3:16)

Connected (1 Peter 2:5a) (Ephesians 2:19-22)

Accepted (1 Peter 2:5b) (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Changed 

From Being
--no longer shamed by sin (1 Peter 2:6)
--no longer an offense to God (1 Peter 2:7-8)

To Being
--selected by God (1 Peter 2:9a)
--acknowledged by God (1 Peter 2:9b) (Revelation 20:6)
--separated by God (1 Peter 2:9c)
--purchased by God (1 Peter 2:9d) (Titus 2:13-14)

Capable

Of Praising God (1 Peter 2:9e)

Of Seeing God (1 Peter 2:9f) (Colossians 1:13)

Of Knowing God (1 Peter 2:10a)

Forgiven (1 Peter 2:10b)

Associate Children's Director

The Associate Children’s Director Search Committee has nominated Andie Light of Charlottesville, Virginia to fill the position with a purposed start date of July 28. 
She will give her testimony today in each Gathering.

Wendesday Night Adult Connect Group Schedule

Month of July: No Wednesday Connect Groups. Join us for family night at the Ruby YMCA on July 10!

August 7-21: Meet as usual

August 28: No Wednesday Connect Groups - Join your child for family night “The Epic Show” here at PCC

Sept 4: Resume usual Schedule

Bryan will lead the  mid-week Bible Study in the Legacy Suite each week throughout the Summer, (except for July 3 & July 17). If no other Connect Groups are meeting, there will be no childcare.
