“Loving Life & Seeing Good Days”
1 Peter 3:8-12

Introduction: Good days can be found not just at a resort, on a beach, or on a mountaintop, but in everyday Routines and Relationships.

Our General Attitude (1 Peter 3:8)

• We Seek Unity not Uniformity
  • Uniformity is a condition in which everything is Regular and Unvarying
  • Unity is Harmony in the midst of Diversity

• We Express Sympathy not Indifference
  • “Your Happiness and your Hurt in my Heart”

• We Love like Family not Fractions

• We Feel Sincerely not Shallow

• We Promote “You & Yours” not “Me & Mine”

Our Gentle Response (1 Peter 3:9)

• Satanic Response: Repay Good with Evil- Cruelty
• Human Response: Repay Evil with Evil and Good with Good- Justice
• Divine Response: Repay Evil with Good- Mercy

Our Genuine Motivation (1 Peter 3:9b-12)

• We are Compelled by a Radical Calling
• We are Guaranteed an Internal Reward
• We are Supervised by an Eternal God

Application: We can decide to Endure life and make it a burden, Escape life and run from responsibility, or Enjoy life because we have given God control of our attitudes, our responses, and our motivations. What will your days look like?

Bryan will lead the  mid-week Bible Study in the Legacy Suite each week throughout the Summer. If no other Connect Groups are meeting, there will be no childcare.
