SURVIVE AND THRIVE
“A Follower’s Survival”
1 Peter 4:7-11 

Introduction: Peter is giving survival instructions to those who make up the Church.  He is basically instructing us not to be overcome by the dark days and circumstances in which we live but to stay focused on what we have been called to do.

Live Responsibly

Keep Persevering—emotionally & mentally (1 Peter 4:7b)
--“serious”—implies sound mind & self-controlled

Keep Loving

Application: We are to live our lives with the end in sight; realizing that we are not only called to survive; but also serve others that they may come to Christ and join us in eternity.
