I IDENTIFY AS...
...A Child of God”
1 John 3:1-10

Introduction: There are two statements that relate to our identity:
- Who you Are identifies What you Do
- What you Do identifies Who you Are

You are Wonderfully Made by God (Psalm 139:13-16, Psalm 24:1)
- "I identify as a Prized Creation”
    o Your Life from the Womb to the Grave is Sacred
    o Your Body is Formed by God and Belongs to God

You are Horribly Enslaved to Sin (1 John 3:4-10)
- "I identify as a Child of Satan”

You are Divinely Adopted through Jesus (1 John 3:1-3)
- "I identify as a Child of God”
    o He Gives you Unmerited Worth & Love
    o He Sanctifies you from the World
    o He Transforms you to look like His Son
    o He Inspires you to Obey in the Present and Hope for the Future
- Result: Your Body is Glorified, Your Character is Purified, Your Heart is Satisfied
