Introduction: Every single person on earth can be found in a Spiritual Stage of life. The forward progression through these stages is called Discipleship. Before you can go to what’s Next you must know where you are Now.
Remember:
  1. All Spiritual Stages have great Worth to God
  2. This message series is about You, not Others
       o It’s about Personal Evaluation NOT Public Judgment
  3. Don’t get Stuck at “What’s Now”, Move to “What’s Next”

What’s Now for the Spiritual Child

Pride with Insecurity (Mark 9:30-34, 10:32-37)
   Your Desire is to be First & Great
      - You Compete with your Peers
      - You Manipulate your Friends
      - You Maneuver your Position
   Your Motivation is to be Noticed & Accepted

Knowledge with Condemnation (Luke 9:51-56)
   You Know just enough to be Dangerous

Self-Centered with Exclusivity (Mark 9:38)
   You think that following Jesus is Customizable

What’s Needed for the Spiritual Child

   Humility with Hospitality for God’s “Least” (Mark 9:35-40)
        “Am I ok with doing something for God or others that No One Sees?”
   Discipline with Devotion for God’s Word (1 John 2:3-6)
        “Am I Feeding on the Bible for myself?”
   Fellowship with Love for God’s Church (1 John 4:7-21)
        “Am I Committed to the Family of Faith that make up this Church?”

What’s Next for the Spiritual Child?

Encouraged by our persecuted brothers’ and sisters’ example, we will meet for nearly 6 hours for intense study of God’s Word and passionate prayer for the persecuted church.
