“Spiritual Parent”

Introduction: Every single person on earth can be found in a Spiritual Stage of life. The forward progression through these stages is called Discipleship. Before you can go to what’s Next you must know where you are Now.
Remember:
  1. All Spiritual Stages have great Worth to God
  2. This message series is about You, not Others
       o It’s about Personal Evaluation NOT Public Judgment
  3. Don’t get Stuck at “What’s Now”, Move to “What’s Next”

What’s Now for the Spiritual Parent (to be)
   Intentional (Titus 1:5-9)
   Strategic (Titus 2:1-8)
   Dependable (2 Timothy 2:1-3)
   Self-feeding (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
   Coach-minded (2 Timothy 4:2-4)
   Mission-minded (2 Timothy 4:5)
   Team-minded (2 Timothy 4:9-12)

What’s Needed for the Spiritual Parent (must be)
   Spirit-filled (2 Timothy 1:13-14)
   Encouraging (the letters to Timothy)
   Patient (2 Timothy 2:24-26) (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
         Spiritual parents are called to confront,
         comfort, connect and be patient.
   Relational (2 Timothy 4:19)

What’s Next for the Spiritual Parent
   Stay the Course (2 Timothy 4:6-8)

Application: God’s desire is for your next move to be one of faithful consistency in making disciples.
