“From the Grave”
Colossians 2:13-15

Introduction: Christianity in its very essence is a resurrection religion. (Matthew 28:1-10) If there is no resurrection there is no salvation. (1 Corinthians 15:1-7) The resurrection provides forgiveness, freedom and victory for those who follow Jesus.  (Romans 6:4-8)

The Resurrection Speaks To:

Our Problem

Spiritually Dead (Colossians 2:13a)
--by nature
--by choice

Relationally Dead (Colossians 2:13b)

Jesus’ Provision
Raised Us From the Dead (Colossians 2:13c)
Delivered Us From the Debt of Sin (Colossians 2:13d-14)

Jesus’ Power
Disarmed the Villains (Colossians 2:15a)
Displayed the Victory (Colossians 2:15b)

Application: The resurrection of Jesus ensures a pardon from sin, and a transformed life that brings victory to our lives. (Galatians 2:20) (Galatians 5:1)
