FROM DEATH TO LIFE
“Hopeless To Hopeful"
Ephesians 2:11-22 

Introduction: Paul shows us in this passage that racism and division have no place in the church.  Because of Jesus, the two enemies have become friends. (II Corinthians 5:17-21)

 Who we were before Christ  (Ephesians 2:11-12)

• Without Christ
• Without Hope (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
• Without God

What Christ Has Done For Us (Ephesians 2:13-18)

• Jesus Brought Us Near (Romans 5:10-11)

We can never forget that Christ died on behalf of sinners, He bore our punishment, He took our place and declares us righteous.  We receive the benefits of Forgiveness, Righteousness, and New Life!

• Jesus Made us One (Galatians 3:28) (Colossians 3:11)
• Jesus Preached Peace (Romans 5:1) (Colossians 3:15)
• Jesus Gives Us Access to God (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Who We Are In Christ (Ephesians 2:19-22)

• Citizens of God’s Kingdom (Philippians 3:20)
• Members in God’s Family (Ephesians 1:5)
• Stones in God’s Temple (Peter 2:5) (I Corinthians 6:19)

Application:  We once were separated from God and His people, but now, in Christ, both Jew and Gentile have been united with God as well as with one another.

Impact

July 25-27—Shelby Mission Camp

6th-12th Grade Students: $45 (Includes: 5 Meals & T-shirt)
Adults: Free!

This is a mission trip right in our own backyard! We will have the opportunity to serve
our area, hangout with friends, and make a difference here in our community.
