Suit Up!
Ephesians 6:10-20

Introduction:   We are called to stand firm in the midst of spiritual warfare by God’s power with God’s armor.  Those who know Christ must be aware and alert that we are in a battle for our soul.  We war against the devil, the world, and our flesh.  We fight with weapons given to us by God.
(II Cor 10:4-5) (I Timothy 6:12) (II Timothy 4:7) (John 16:33)

Be Aware of the Battle (Ephesians 6:10-13)

• Spiritual strength & courage are necessary (Hebrews 13:6) (II Corinthians 4:4)
• Satan’s Abilities
  - He is strong (John 10:10)
  - He is subtle. (I John 4:4)

Be Equipped with God’s Armor (Ephesians 6:13-17)

• The Belt of Truth – vs 14a (John 8:32) It is very important that we build our lives around God’s truth and have a worldview that is based on truth
• The Breastplate of Righteousness – vs 14b (Jeremiah 17:9) (Proverbs 4:23) (II Cor 5:21) (I John 1:9)
• The Shoes of the Gospel – vs 15
• The Sheild of Faith – vs 16 (Psalm 28:7)
• The Helmet of Salvation – vs 17a (I John 5:13)
• The Sword of the Spirit – vs 17b (Hebrews 4:12)

Be Devoted to Prayer – vs 18-20

• Pray Intentionally – vs 18 (Philippians 4:6) (I Peter 5:7)
• Pray for Boldness – vs 19-20

Application:  The battle is real and so is the spiritual realm of darkness.  Through God’s  Word and the Spirit, God gives you and me the resources to fight and the power to follow His way.

I'm A Christian Now Class

Begins: September 14
A 5-week class for kids 1^st - 5^th grade who have made a profession of faith & is recommended before baptism.  Parents attend the first class with their child.

Camp out Friday night or come Saturday Morning for family activities including horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, hiking, archery, game room, swimming pool, camp games & more!
