THE PROMISE STILL STANDS
“Courage for Crossing”
Joshua 1&3 

Introduction: The “Highlight Reel” of Joshua reminds us that God’s promises still stand. Our God is a faithful God-He is always faithful to His people.

Are you One of His people?                             Are you Faithful to Him?

God Commands…

“Trust My Promises” (Joshua 1:1-6)
- Adamic: A Savior that will end sin and satan (Genesis 3:15)
- Noahic: Never going to destroy the earth again with a global flood (Genesis 9)
- Abrahamic: Nation with land of which the whole world will be blessed. (Gen12-17)
- Mosaic: Blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience (Exodus 19-24)
- Davidic: An eternal throne fulfilled in the person of Jesus (2 Samuel 7)
- New Covenant: To those who follow Christ-Forgiveness of sin and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, sealed by the blood of Jesus and fulfilled in the Church (NT)

“Trust My Word” (Joshua 1:7-8)
- God’s Word is not given to us for Information, but for Transformation

“Trust My Presence” (Joshua 1:9)
- God’s Presence is our Confidence and Courage

We Obey…

Through Unity (Joshua 1:10-18)
Through Holiness (Joshua 3:1-6)
Through Faith (Joshua 3:7-13)

God Delivers…

By going Before us (Joshua 3:14)
By turning Barriers into Highways (Joshua 3:15-17)

Application: Plans and People change but the Promise continues

 God is still commanding.  Are we still obeying? 

Are we one of His people?  Are we faithful to Him?

I'm A Christian Now Class

Begins: September 14
A 5-week class for kids 1^st - 5^th grade who have made a profession of faith & is recommended before baptism.  Parents attend the first class with their child.

Harvest Time Bible Camp—Ellenboro
Camp out Friday night or come Saturday Morning for family activities including horseback riding, fishing, kayaking, hiking, archery, game room, swimming pool, camp games & more!
