“God’s Strategy, Our Obedience”
Joshua 5:13-6:27 

Introduction: The “Highlight Reel” of Joshua reminds us that God’s promises still stand. Plans and People change but the Promise continues.

Faith in Action is…
     Repentance: Forsaking your Old and Empty Life
     Obedience: Embracing your New and True Lord

When it comes to Obedience…

Posture your Heart (Joshua 5:13-6:2)
   - God does not Work for You, You Work for Him
   - God does not Need You, He Wants You

Follow His Instruction (Joshua 6:3-14)
   - Do What God says: Even when it does not Make Sense
   - Do it When God says: Delayed obedience is disobedience

Trust Him for the Victory (Joshua 6:15-21)
   - Your obedience is not Required for God’s Success
   - Your obedience is the Sound of your Worship

Live with the Consequences (Joshua 6:22-27)
   - Obedience brings Blessing
   - Disobedience brings Destruction

Application: Obedience does not make God Win and you Proud. Obedience makes God Known and you Transformed. Will you Obey? Will you Spread the Gospel and Make Disciples?
