THE PROMISE STILL STANDS
“The God Who Fights For Us"
Joshua 10

Introduction: God is faithful to His promises and Joshua’s bold faith to overcome the spiritual enemies that Israel faced was a challenging feat, but with God all things are possible. (Numbers 14:24)

Bold Faith will be Attacked (Joshua 10:1-5)

• Bold Faith is noticeable
• Satan doesn’t just sit by when the forces for good increase
• When we face difficult situations we often see only what the natural eye sees

Bold Faith Acts Upon God’s Promises (Joshua 10:6-8)

• The Gibeonites were humble and helpless  (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10) (I Peter 5:7)
• The Gibeonites went to the right person. (Jeremiah 33:3)
• Joshua had the Word of God
• Joshua’s faith moved him to action.  (Joshua 1:9) (I Corinthians 15:57-58) (Isiah 41:10) (Psalm 34:4)

Bold Faith is Rooted in God’s Power (Joshua 10:9-11)
God can use anything He wishes to stop the enemy.  When the Lord is for us, who can be against us?

Bold Faith Believes God for the Impossible (Joshua 10:12-14)
Joshua was in contact with God, listening, believing, allowing God to lead him! (Ephesians 3:20)

Application:

Luke 1:37: Identify an impossible situation that you believe needs to be changed in your life. 

I John 5:14-15: Express your confidence, that God is in control

Psalm 37:3-5: Verbalize your trust in God’s goodness and timing. 

I Thessalonians 5:18: Thank God for His answer
