“What’s My Response?"
John 5:17-30

Series Introduction:   John isn’t writing a Biography for Information, he’s writing an Invitation for Transformation- that you may Believe and that you may have Life.  That you may hear His voice and that you may respond.

Jesus Is Equal with the Father (John 5:17-20) (John 10:30) (Colossians 2:9)
This means that all of God was in Christ’s human body. (Hebrews 13:8) (Psalm 139:7-10) (Colossians 1:16-17)
Since Jesus does the works of God, His power is sufficient for your situation and His authority is absolute over your life.

Jesus Has Authority to Give Life (John 5:21,24) (John 11:25) (Ephesians 2:1)(Philippians 1:6)
Jesus begins life in you when you hear His Word, believe, and receive Him as Savior. (Romans 10:9-10)

Jesus Is The Final Judge (John 5:22,26–27)(Acts 17:31) (II Corinthians 5:10) (Revelation 20:12) (Hebrews 10:31)
This truth should do two things:  Humble us & Comfort us
The One who will judge you is the same One offering you eternal life.

Jesus Deserves the Same Honor as God (John 5:23)(Philippians 2:9-11) (Revelation 4:11)
 Let Love and Honor become the norm. (Romans 12:10)

Jesus’ Voice Raises the Dead (John 5:25,28–29) (I Thessalonians 4:16) (Philippians 3:20-21)
Jesus was victorious over death!  He is coming again! We have a hope and can live our lives for Christ.

Jesus Acts with Perfect Justice (John 5:30) (Acts 17:31)

Application: The voice that will one day call the dead from their graves
is the same voice calling you right now.  How you respond will change everything.
