“Beyond a Doubt”
John 20:24-31

Introduction: John isn’t writing a Biography for Information, he’s writing an Invitation for Transformation- that you may Believe and that you may have Life. In John 20, Thomas shows us that even sincere Faith can wrestle with serious Doubt.

When Doubt Strikes…

Recognize the Difference (John 20:24-25)

- The Resurrection Invites the Doubter and Confronts the Unbeliever

Follow the Evidence (John 20:26-27)
- Evidence isn’t an Enemy of faith, it’s an Ally of faith
    o Faith that isn’t Tested won’t be Trusted

- The Resurrection isn’t just an Idea to Consider, it’s an Event to Encounter

Confess with Assurance (John 20:28)
- Evidence can answer the question, but faith must make the response
- The Resurrection doesn’t just prove Jesus is Living, it proves Jesus is Lord

Live in Confidence (John 20:29-31)
- Faith isn’t built on what we See but on whom we Trust
- A change of Belief leads to a change of Life
- The Resurrection means our Faith is not Futile and our Life is not Wasted

Application: Don’t let a Season of doubt become a Lifetime of unbelief. Let the reality of the Resurrection move you from doubt to Belief, and from belief to Life.

I'm A Christian Now Class

Begins Sunday, September 20
A 5-week class for kids 1^st - 5^th grade who have made a profession of faith. We recommend this class before baptism. Parents are asked to attend the first class with their child.
