A SEAT AT THE TABLE
“We Serve: More than Obligation”
Romans 12:3-13 

Introduction: The church belongs to Jesus, and He is our Lead Story. Jesus calls us to more than simply having a seat in the Room, He invites us to a seat at His Table to share in the Life and Mission of His church. At His table: We belong, we grow, we Serve, and we go.

We Serve…

By knowing our unique Place (Romans 12:3-5)
- Every believer is Positioned to serve
    o Pride poisons our Posture
    o Salvation starts our Service
Goal: I Embrace my place

By using our different Gifts (Romans 12:6-8)
- Every believer is Gifted to serve
    o Prophet (eyes): Discerns and boldly Speaks God’s truth
    o Servant (hands): Notices and Meets practical needs
    o Teacher (mind): Makes biblical truth Understandable
    o Exhorter/Encourager (mouth): Encourages others towards Obedience
    o Giver (arms): Joyfully Gives with exceptional generosity to Meet needs and Advance ministry
    o Administrator (legs): Organizes people and resources to Accomplish the mission
    o Mercy (heart): Feels others’ pain and compassionately Responds
Goal: I put my gift(s) to Use

Sermon on Spiritual Gifts

By living our shared Calling (Romans 12:9-13). 
- Every believer is Expected to serve
    o We Love authentically: True love Hates evil and Honors others
    o We Work diligently: Diligent labor chooses Commitment over Comfort
    o We Give obediently: Obedient giving Fuels the mission and Forms the believer
Goal: I live like Jesus
