“The People of The Better Place”
1 Corinthians 15:35-53 

Introduction: The Scriptures indicate that everyone who has ever lived will be resurrected and will live for eternity—either in Heaven or Hell.

How Will Bodies Be Different After The Resurrection?

Footnote: A principle is given as it relates to transition of the body from its present reality to its future reality.  (1 Corinthians 15:35-38)

Different Dimension (1 Corinthians 15:39-41)
Present—A Terrestrial Body (Natural)
Future—A Celestial Body (Spiritual) (John 6:15-21)

Different Destiny (1 Corinthians 15:42)
Present—A Body Destined for the Grave
Future—A Body Destined for Glory (Philippians 1:23)

Different Dress (1 Corinthians 15:43a)
Present—A Dress of Dishonor
Future—A Dress of Honor 

Different Disposition (1 Corinthians 15:43b)
Present—A Body of Weakness
Future—A Body of Power (Philippians 3:20-21)

Different Dynamic (1 Corinthians 15:44-46)
Present—A Body Sown (Natural)
Future—A Body Raised (Spiritual)

Present—A Body That’s Temporal
Future—A Body That’s Eternal (1 John 3:3)

What Will Relationships Be Like In Heaven?

Will we know God more intimately?  Yes  (Revelation 22:4)

“We don’t yet see things clearly.
We are squinting in a fog, peering through a mist.  

But it won’t be long before the weather clears
and the sun shines bright!  

We will see it all then,
see it all as clearly as God sees us,
knowing him directly (and intimately)
just as he knows us!”
(1 Corinthians 13:12-The Message)

Will we be the same?  Yes & No

Will we know each other?  Yes

Will we be reunited with loved ones?  Yes & No

Will there be marriage?  Yes & No

Will there be different races?  Yes (Revelation 5:9)

Will there be animals?  Yes (pets?) (Isaiah 11:6)

Bottom Line: Heaven will not negate what defined us as a person in this life. Our relationships will be far greater than any of the closest relationships we have in this life.

Who Will Be In Heaven? 

They are those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
