Welcome to Pleasant City Church (PCC). Visiting a new church can be frightening and/or overwhelming. So here is some information to help you know more about us and what you can expect on your visit this Sunday!
Pleasant City Church started in 1949 in Shelby. From our past to our present: Jesus is our Lead Story and our mission as a local church is to Love God, Connect with Others, and Reach the World.
Our doors are open to everyone. Our congregation is multi-generational and multicultural. So if you’re curious about God and have questions or are a committed Christian wanting to grow your faith, you can find a home here at PCC.
At our church, we offer a casual and welcoming atmosphere. Our worship services consist of a mix of modern worship music and timeless hymns. When we gather, our purpose is to transform lives with the truth of God’s word. We value transformation over tradition and that His message is unchanging in an always-changing culture. So, don’t worry about your attire, we have everything from jeans & a t-shirt to coats and ties in attendance.
We have created a children’s center, student center, and adult center with an intentional generational mindset involved. With that mindset, it’s also important to us that the church is physically and emotionally safe, so background checks and training are issued for ALL children and student leaders.
We hope to see you this Sunday at either our 9:30a or 11:00a gathering; our gatherings are just over an hour long. If you have any questions when you arrive, please find a greeter with a name badge to help you. Our desire is for you to encounter Jesus while you’re here with us. We only want our church identity to come from Jesus.
