JESUS, LIKE NO OTHER
His Victorious Resurrection
Selected Passages

Introduction: There are many things about Jesus that sets Him apart from all others—including His resurrection from the dead. His victorious resurrection over death ensures those who are His followers will have victory over death.

What Does Jesus’ Resurrection Mean?

He Is Who He Claimed To Be
"I am the resurrection and the life
He who believes in Me will live,
even though he dies." (John 11:25)

“I am the way, the truth, and the life
No one comes to the Father except through Me."  (John 14:6)

He Has the Power He Claimed To Have
Jesus said, "No one takes it from Me,
but I lay it down of Myself.
I have power to lay it down,
and I have power to take it again." (John 10:18)

He Does What He Promised To Do
   Jesus said speaking of Himself,
"and they will mock Him, and scourge Him,
and spit on Him, and kill Him.
And the third day He will rise again.” (Mark 10:34)

Why Does Jesus’ Resurrection Matter?

Your Past Can Be Erased (Philippians 3:7-9)
"having wiped out the handwriting of requirements
that was against us, which was contrary to us.
And He has taken it out of the way,
having nailed it to the cross."  (Colossians 2:14)

"There is therefore now no condemnation
to those who are in Christ Jesus…." (Romans 8:1)

Your Present Can Be Handled (Philippians 3:10-12)

Your Future Can Be Secured (Philippians 3:13-14; 20-21)

How Does Jesus’ Resurrection Not Matter? (by attempting)

“Not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:9)

How Does Jesus’ Resurrection Matter? (by accepting)

Accepting Salvation by Your Repentance
   “Repent and be converted,
that your sins may be blotted out,
so that times of refreshing may come
from the presence of the Lord.”  (Acts 3:19)

Accepting Salvation by God’s Provision
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who according to His abundant mercy
has begotten us again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled
and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation
ready to be revealed in the last time.”  (1 Peter 1:3-5)
