THE BETTER PLACE
“Journey To The Better Place”
Selected Passages 

Introduction: According to Scripture a world of sin, evil, and wickedness leads to despair, suffering, hopelessness, and eventually death. The question then becomes, what is the answer to this condition? Philosophy would say “think better.” Religion would say “do better.” Sociology would say “get along better.” Dictators and politicians would say “follow me to better.” All attempting to create utopia—the ideal, perfect state or place. NOT POSSIBLE! WHY?

We Fell From Perfection (God’s Garden) (Genesis 3:9-24; Genesis 6:5-6; Genesis 11:4-6)

We Were Born Into A World of Imperfection (Suffering) (Romans 8:18-28—The Message)

We Were Born In Imperfection (Sin) (Romans 5:12,17a,18a,19a; Romans 1:18-22) (Psalm 14:1-3)

We Can Be Saved From Imperfection (Sin & Suffering) (Romans 5:17b, 18b, 19b) (2 Corinthians 4:16-5:8)

We Can One Day Live in Perfection (Heaven) (John 14:1-3)

Conclusion: The only way to escape the sin, suffering, and hopelessness of this world is to follow Jesus to another—a place of perfection and paradise God calls Heaven.
