Sermon Series Introduction: How does a “Follower of Jesus” identify truth in a fallen world of mixed messages? The obvious answer is God’s Word and what the “Follower of Jesus” believes about it. Is it truly God’s Word?

Introduction: In our world there are many mixed messages regarding salvation as it relates to someone’s eternal destiny—heaven or hell.

Jesus plainly said,

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  (John 14:6)

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2)

Secular Worldview Signs

• Merge  (Acts 4:12)
• Men at Work (Ephesians 2:8-10) (Titus 3:4-7)
• Wrong Way (Proverbs 16:25)

Biblical Worldview Signs

• Dead End (Hebrews 9:27)
• Road Narrows (Matthew 7:13-14)
• One Way (John 14:1-6)
• U-Turn (Luke 13:3) (2 Corinthians 7:9-10) (Acts 3:19)
• Entrance (Romans 10:9-13)

Bottom Line: Jesus is the way to Heaven—not based on someone’s opinion but based on God’s Word.

Application:  Which road are you on?  What are the signs saying?  Do the signs reveal a secular worldview or a Biblical Worldview?

I'm A New Christian Class

Begins: November 8

A 5-week class for kids 1^st - 5^th grade who have made a profession of faith.  We recommend your child complete this class before baptism.  Parents are asked to attend the first class with their child.
