JOY RIDE
Enjoy The Ride!
Philippians 1:12-18 

Series Introduction: Joy is the unshakable assurance that God is in control of all the details of our lives, the confidence that ultimately, we can trust God in everything that comes into our lives, and the determined purpose to praise Him in all things.

Notice how Paul kept His joy and gives us a great example to follow:

Stay Focused on Jesus (Colossians 3:2)
Stay focused on Jesus, making the spread of the Gospel your focus. Focusing on Jesus will bring joy.

Put the Gospel First (Philippians 1:12-14) (I Corinthians 15:3-4)

The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ.  It is the good news that everyone needs to hear, and all of us need to share. (Hebrews 12:1-2) 

• God’s mission is being accomplished 
• People are hearing the Gospel 
  Paul’s adversity gave him a platform.  What really ties us together as Christians is a passion for the Gospel and serving together
• People are speaking the Gospel  (Philippians 1:20) (II Timothy 1:7-8) (II Timothy 4:2-5)
  

Love Christ’s Glory More Than Your Own (Philippians 1:15-18)

• Check your motives
• Beware of jealousy and envy in your ministry
• Beware of the temptation to promote yourself in ministry. (II Corinthians 4:5)
• Don’t be surprised if others envy you
• Pray for God to give you the grace to minister out of love for Him and love for others
• Rejoice when Christ is proclaimed (Galatians 1:6-9) (I Thessalonians 2:2-6)

Application: Let’s remember we are Team Jesus as we minister together here at PCC and let’s go out and activate joy through sharing the good news of Jesus Christ!

Over these two weeks we will see over 110 students go to BeachHouse and we need your help!  Not with food or scholarships, but with PRAYER.  Partner with us as we pray in anticipation for God to transform the hearts, minds, and lives of our students in the coming weeks!
