JOY RIDE
Intentional, Joyful Giving
Philippians 4:10-23

Series Introduction: Joy is the unshakable assurance that God is in control of all the details of our lives, the confidence that ultimately, we can trust God in everything that comes into our lives, and the determined purpose to praise Him in all things. (Psalm 90:1-4,12)

Gratitude (Philippians 4:10)

• A great practice for all of us is an attitude of gratitude. (Philippians 1:3)

Contentment (Philippians 4:11-13)

• Contentment is unconnected to our circumstances.  (I Timothy 6:6,10,17)
• Contentment Is Learned (II Corinthians 11:25-27)
• Contentment flows from dependance on Christ.

Partnership (Philippians 4:14-16)

• God was working through His people to meet Paul’s human
• The Church was in financial partnership with Paul

Fruitfulness (Philippians 4:17)

• The Church made a deposit in heaven by making an investment in Paul’s life. (Matthew 6:19-21,24)

Worship Philippians (4:18)

• Sacrificial obedience is a pleasing aroma to God.

Faith (Philippians 4:19-20)

• Give and God will supply all my needs.

Family (4:21-23)

• He calls them brothers & sisters – We are family!

Application: The message of Philippians is that life is lived for Christ, to Christ, through Christ, with Christ, about Christ, and in Christ.
