JOY RIDE
Choose Joy – Pursue Christ
Philippians 3:12-16 

Introduction:  The pursuit of Christ is the one thing that will bring joy like nothing else.

Series Introduction: Joy is the unshakable assurance that God is in control of all the details of our lives, the confidence that ultimately, we can trust God in everything that comes into our lives, and the determined purpose to praise Him in all things

Notice in this passage, 5 Action Steps to follow:

Keep Pressing On

• We were all created for relationship with Jesus. (II Peter 3:18)
• Keep growing and keep going.

Keep Your Commitment

• One thing I do
• Paul had an intensity in his pursuit of Jesus. (I Corinthians 9:24-27) (Luke 10:41-42)
• Mary pursued time with Jesus. (Matthew 6:33)

Keep Your Focus (Acts 22:4)

• Forgetting means that we break the power of the past by living for the future focused on Jesus.

Keep Your Determination (Psalm 42:1-2)

• When can I go and meet with God?
• Know Jesus, follow Jesus, and obey (John 15:5)

Keep A Clear View

• Read the Bible, pray, and connect (Psalm 25:4) (Philippians 3:10)

Application: Am I pursuing Jesus and a love relationship with Him?  Do I know Jesus as my Savior?  Will I choose joy by pressing on, focusing, being determined to know Jesus more and living with a clear view of all Jesus has done and wants to do through me. (I Corinthians 15:58)

Team Night is for any person who is already a part of our worship, production or creative teams and anyone who desires to be a part of one of those teams. We will meet in the Worship Center for dinner, share our vision going forward and have some small training at individual positions.
